Ava DuVernay's prison documentary should be required viewing

After crafting Selma, the powerful story of Martin Luther King Jr., director Ava DuVernay has followed up with another important film, Netflix’s 13th, which the hosts of Bingeworthy say is unlike anything that they’ve ever seen before.

During the latest episode of Bingeworthy, the new series from the People/Entertainment Weekly Network, hosts Jessica Shaw (EW Radio on SiriusXM) and Touré (MSNBC’s The Cycle) raved about DuVernay’s new documentary about race in the criminal justice system. Touré described it as painful, powerful, and important, and Shaw described her physical reaction to the movie.

Watch this full episode of Bingeworthy, available now, on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN). Go to PEOPLE.com/PEN, or download the PEN app on Apple TV, Roku Players, Amazon Fire TV, Xumo, Chromecast, iOS and Android devices.
